The 18th Steering Group meeting of Priority Area 11 “Security” of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region Herewith was held on 26th of November as an on-line event. The meeting was chaired by the PAC from Bulgarian Ministry of Interior and was technical hosted in the WebEx platform by the Danube Strategy Point. 12 out of 14 EUSDR countries attended the event. The meeting was also attended by a representative of the DG Regio, the SELEC General Director and the PAC from PA 1a from Austria.
The main topic discussed during the meeting were to present the state of play of the EUSDR, including the adoption of the Revised Action Plan, the embedding process and the release of the third EU Commission report on the MRS.
A focus was placed on the cooperation between PA 1a and PA 11 – recap of what was achieved during 2020 and outline of future measures until 2025
The meeting also served the role of a kick-off event for the start of the Second DTP PACs Project DTP-PAC2-PA11 for Support of Priority Area Coordinators of Priority Area 11 Security of the EUSDR which was presented by both partners to the audience.
