The EUSDR Presidency in Bulgaria and the European Commission jointly organise the 7th EUSDR Annual Forum from 18-19 October 2018. The event will take place at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia, Bulgaria. This will be the key event for the year and will mark the end of the Bulgarian rotation Presidency of the EUSDR.
The main focus of the event will be on tourism development as a precondition to economic growth and territorial cohesion.
Representatives of Priority Area 11 Security will attend as panelists at the thematic event dedicated to the topic “Security at public spaces”
The Annual Forum will also cover topics of particular importance for the Danube region related to preservation of cultural and historical heritage, new technologies and digitalization in tourism sector, ensuring safety and security in tourism, transport connectivity and mobility. Issues related to synergy and consistency between macro-regional strategies for achieving the common objectives of the EU and for the future of those strategies after 2020 will also be referred to.
During the even an open-air exhibition with photos from successful Danube projects have been scheduled as well which will be situated on a pedestrian bridge close the building of NDK
