The XX meeting of the Steering Group of EUSDR PA 11 took place as on line event on 25 November from 10 to 12 CET. The following EUSDR Countries participated: PAC from the Ministry of Interior from the Free State of Bavaria, PAC from the Federal Ministry of Interior of Germany, PAC from Ministry of Interior Bulgaria and a representative from the Coordination Bureau; Baden-Wuerttemberg (Federal Republic of Germany), Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Republic of Slovakia, Serbia, Romania and Ukraine. The meeting was also attended by the Technical Coordinator of EUSDR PA11 for the cooperation with PA 1a as well as PA 11 partners and stakeholders, namely: The responsible representative of DG REGIO, EU Commission; the Ukrainian Presidency of the EUSDR; a representative of SELEC and the DSP pillar officer.
The total number of registered participants amounted to 24, 13 out of 14 EUSDR countries joined the event. Only the representative of Slovenia could not attend because he had other coinciding on-line meeting.
The meeting was chaired by PAC from Bulgaria.
The main focus of the meeting was placed on the development of all the aspects of the EUSDR since the XIX Steering group meeting in June.
The horizontal cooperation with PA 1a Waterland mobility was presented by Mr. Huber Griepe who informed about the preparation for the joint meeting on 14 December in terms of the implementations with Measures 6, 7 and 8 from the agreed work plan. He also shared with us the positive news about the membership of Ukraine to Acquapol. The country was granted an observer status and as of 2023 it will be a full members of the organisation.
Ms. Lenz from the DSP presented the DSP activities in terms of communication, evaluation and monitoring and embedding.
The results of the COD3JIL project lead by the Czech Police were presented. It was funded by the Internal Security fund and labelled as an EUSDR project. Its outcomes were very encouraging.
The Ukrainian Presidency informed about their priorities during its term which will last until 31 November 2022. PACs congratulated the team of the Ukrainian Chair, wished them a success and offered support whenever possible.
Ukraine once again expressed a desire to host an in-presence meeting in Kyiv possibly during the next 6 months.
SELEC presented the main activities and role of the organization as well as results of joint event under the DTP Project in the fight against drugs.
