Corruption is a worldwide phenomenon that can only be effectively countered by a variety of measures and international cooperation. Implementing the resulting multidisciplinary measures for combating and preventing corruption in a coordinated and sustainable manner is one of the major challenges in the Danube Region. Regarding this fact a 3-day-Conference with lectures and discussions was held from 26 – 28 November 2019 in Munich. The idea was to support the law enforcement officials of the Danube-Countries in the possibility to strengthen their network in the anti-corruption field and to increase the working-cooperation in international corruption cases.
28 participants from 11 EUSDR-Countries, Europol, the European Anti-Fraud-Office and the University of Applied Sciences Munich attended at the meeting.
The conference took place within the framework of Priority 11 of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) and was co-financed from the Danube Transnational Programme.
