NEW PROJECT PROPOSAL WITHIN PA 11 – DANUBE DOMESTIC BURGLARY PROJECT

 

As a follow-up to the Danube Property Crime Project (DPCP) concluded on the 31st October 2016, Munich Police Headquarters will conduct the Danube Domestic Burglary Project (DDBP) within the framework of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region together with law enforcement authorities from Germany, Serbia, Austria and Switzerland and Europol.

Like its predecessor, the DDBP concerns itself with organized property crime in the field of domestic burglary (DB) committed by mobile organized crime groups (MOCG) from Serbia. Whereas the DPCP was especially focussed on the international exchange of information, the DDBP emphasizes close cooperation between the specialized police investigators of the affected countries (AT, CH, DE), as well as with those in Serbia. In order to establish such cooperation, two workshops are planned. The first will take place in Munich from 21st to 22nd of March and feature the exchange of situation reports and intelligence from the targeted countries and regions as well as the implementation of solutions for more effective communication and investigation. The second workshop is planned in Belgrade and scheduled for April 24th to 27th of April. Its focus will be possibilities and benefits of cooperation with Serbian law enforcement as well as consolidation of topics discussed in the project. The DDBP is scheduled to end on 31st December 2017.
