At the invitation of Priority 11 (Ministries of the Interior of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg) 37 police officers from 14 states along the Danube region met in Ainring (Bavaria) on 4 and 5 October 2018 to exchange technical information on the fight against organized crime. “Fight against OMCG-DR” was the title of the conference. OMCG-DR stands for “Outlaw Motorcycle Groups in the Danube Region”. The Bavarian Police Training Institute (BPFI) organized the event and hosted guests from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Moldova, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia. Also officers from the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany and Europol attended the workshop.
The Representative of the Bavarian Priority Area Coordinator of PA11, Martin Krauß from the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior and Integration, Laura Vituschek from the Ministry of the Interior, Digitization and Migration Baden-Württemberg and Johann Peter Holzner, the head of the BPFI welcomed the guests. Various participants presented the current situation in their countries and exchanged experiences and future strategies in this really important field of crime.
