ORGANISED PROPERTY CRIME – NEW APPROACHES IN COMBATING DOMESTIC BURGLARIES

Domestic burglaries affect particularly citizen’s security sense. Therefore, the fact that the number of cases have been rising in recent years not only in Germany has even more impact. Frequently the crimes are committed by perpetrator groups which are structured along tight lines. They derive from Eastern or Southeast Europe and are intentionally sent on the prowl to Central or Western Europe by their backers.

For the successful fight against these groups of burglars cross-border cooperation and a close information and data exchange are of paramount importance. This is the only way to adequately face the challenges in this field of crime.
