PA 11 WILL TAKE PART IN THE WORKING GROUP 6 OF PA 1A

This working group will bring together border control authorities and representatives of the inland waterway transport sector to discuss the implementation of selected measures for improved border controls along the Danube. The objective is to assign responsibilities, to agree on concrete implementation plans and to set a time frame for implementation with clear deadlines.

The implemenation work will be based on the Practical manual for border control procedures published in August 2015 and Recommendations for improved border controls which will be presented during the Working Group. Both documents were developed in close cooperation between Priority Area 1a („Inland waterways“) and Priority Area 11 („Security“) of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.
