WORKSHOP ON BEST PRACTICES AND POSSIBLE JOINT ACTIONS BETWEEN THE POLICE AUTHORITIES IN THE PREVENTION OF TERRORISM THREATS IN THE DANUBE REGION IS TAKING PLACE IN RUSE
On 12-13 October 2016 in the Bulgarian town of Ruse Priority Area 11 is carrying out a Workshop on best practices and possible joint actions between the police authorities in the prevention of terrorism threats in the Danube region.
The very important topic of countering terrorism is explored from the perspective of guarantying the border security along the river. The workshop is the first follow up initiate after the PA 11 Ministerial conference on combatting terrorism in the Danube region (January 2016).
Guided by the principle to join the efforts and to put in practice adequate tools against the terrorism threats, participants from Bulgaria, Germany, Moldova, Romania, Europol, the Danube Commission, the Regional Cooperation Council and the Bulgarian State Agency for National Security among others are exchanging best practices, sharing experience and considering common actions between the police authorities in the prevention of terrorism menaces in the Danube region.
