On 23 of February the teams of the Priority Area Coordinators of Priority Area 11 Security from the Federal Ministry of Interior and Community /Germany/, the Ministry of Interior, for Sport and Integration /Bavaria/ and the Ministry of Interior /Bulgaria/ implemented an on-line kick-off meeting with representatives of the Danube Youth Council. The aim of the meeting was to provide them with information about PA 11 targets and actions as per the 2020 EUSDR Action Plan, the Steering Group of PA 11, the main projects implemented sofar, including the Danube FLAGSHIPS, the horisontal cooperation with other PAs etc.
The Danube Strategy Point also attended the meeting in its capacity of a facilitator of the process of establishing the DYC and the subsequent matchmaking between its selected representatives and the 12 Priority Areas of the Strategy.
The Danube Youth Council was established in the end of 2022 as one of the initiatives within the EUSDR to mark 2022 being declared by the European Commission as a Year of Youth.

The PACs of PA 11 believe that future cooperation with the representatives of the young people in the Danube Region is a perspective that will bring added value for our work.
